Most of the time, the Bout Sandek Game or Beans Game “ល្បែងបូតសណ្តែក” is played by two people facing each other, or if you want to play with more people, you need to have partners sitting facing each other and singing together.

How to Play

First, they put their palms together, the right palm touching the left palm, the left back of the hand touching the back of their partner’s right hand, and clap them up and down, with a romantic and happy feeling. When they clap their hands, they sing together: “Beans-tossing, the cart is broken, the girl walks on the ground, everyone rides an elephant, the girl walks on the ground, riding the pregnant dog. The pregnant dog is running, want to eat baked bread, the fire is out, wants to eat raw bread and then spills all the flour” (បូតសណ្តែក រទេះបាក់បែក នាងនីដើរដី អស់ទាំងគេ គេជិះដំរី នាងនីដើរដី ជិះឆ្កែកំផើម។ ផើមផុត ចង់ស៊ីនំដុត ភ្លើងរលត់ ចង់ស៊ីនំឆៅ កំពប់ម្សៅអស់). When the song is over, they clap their own palms once, clap their own thighs once, then clap their own palms once, raise their right hand and clap their partner’s right palm once, clap their own hands once, then raise their left hand and clap their partner’s left palm once.

Determining the winner and loser

This is a sequence, and they start the process of clapping as we have already explained again and again and the rhythm is also speedy. The result, whoever weakens is considered a loser. The way of hitting that we have described is one way, but there are many others depending on the assumption. When increasing the rhythm, if we forget or make a mistake, it is considered to have lost.
