Reamker Temple (ប្រាសាទរាមកេរ្តិ៍) is one of the lesser-known shrines within the ancient capital of Chok Gargyar (ឆោកគគ្យរ៌) or known as Koh Ker complex presently, a significant archaeological site in northern Cambodia (Preah Vihear Province) that briefly served as the capital of the Khmer Empire in the 10th century, during the reign of Jayavarman IV. This temple is located on the north-western slope of the Rahal in the boundary of the current village of Koh Ker about 80-meter north of Prasat Dang Tung.
This rectangular temple was built of laterite stone (as base and platform), brick (tower) and sandstone (adornment) facing to the east with and a small brick library facing to the west. Based on architectural style, this temple was constructed in the same period with Prasat Dang Tong, meaning the temple built prior to Jayavarman IV’s relocation of his capital city to this Koh Ker site.
This existing temple remains laterite wall and a pedestal. The temple is surrounded by a remaining laterite enclosure. According to local people, a Shiva statue was believed to be installed in this temple.
